This indicator is intended as a guide to your eligibility to access EnableNSW Programs. It does not consider your individual circumstances. We encourage you to speak to a Customer Service Officer to discuss your individual circumstances and requirements.

Health status

Do you have a long term health condition or disability?

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Are you under 65 and eligible for the NDIS?

Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF)

Do you live in a RACF (including Nursing Home or Hostel)? This may include short-term respite

You are eligible to apply for the following EnableNSW programs:

  • Prosthetic Limb Service (PLS)
  • Equipment Allocation Program for a power wheelchair (PWC) if you use it on your own

Exceptional Circumstances

In exceptional circumstances discretion may be exercised by the Manager, EnableNSW to approve a request where:

  • the person is not eligible for EnableNSW
  • there is a lengthy delay in funding
  • there is demonstrable health impact
  • other funding sources have been exhausted
  • the request meets the EnableNSW clinical criteria

  • compensation was awarded for a different disability / condition
  • in cases of demonstrable financial hardship

While you are inpatient in a private hospital you are not eligible for assistance through EnableNSW. Please assess your eligibility once you have been discharged to your own home/group home within the community.
