Mobility & Self Care Prescription and Provision Guidelines
EnableNSW is developing Prescription and Provision Guidelines (PPG) for specific equipment groups.
The PPGs have been developed to:
- Specify eligibility criteria for each equipment item
- Provide prompts regarding sound prescription and documentation practice
- Provide a basis for consistent, transparent decision making
The following mobility and self care guidelines have been developed in consultation with expert clinicians and are based on clinical evidence whenever possible. They are designed to be a guide for the provision of equipment by EnableNSW and do not replace evidence based clinical guidelines.
EnableNSW values your contribution and welcomes feedback in areas including, but not limited to:
-
Suggestions for additional considerations in the assessment process
-
Clarity on the criteria for equipment provision
EnableNSW is inviting comments from prescribers, suppliers and consumers until 14 October 2009. The feedback will be reviewed and the PPGs will then be in use in draft form for 6 months.
Please click here to provide feedback. Please note that you will need to fill in the form for each guide you review. Alternatively you can provide written feedback to enable@hss.health.nsw.gov.au with PPG Feedback as the subject line.
