Changes to our working arrangements with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA)
Over the past five years EnableNSW has been providing support to the NDIA to help eligible people transition smoothly to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). These arrangements came to an end on 30 June 2019, with the exception of repairs which has been extended until 24 December 2019.
With the NDIS now at full scheme implementation across New South Wales, it is expected people under 65 check their eligibility for the scheme and make an access request through the NDIS to ensure they receive the appropriate funding for their disability supports. The NDIA and its partners in the community will have full responsibility for managing the assessments and related quotes of all requests and will work directly with the participant to advise of the outcome.
Our service offerings
EnableNSW remains available for anyone requiring information to support a smooth transition, and will continue to be an NDIS registered provider, offering specialist services through the EnableNSW Albury and Hunter Prosthetic and Orthotic Services.
EnableNSW will continue to provide support for people who are not eligible for the NDIS, people who have chronic health conditions (and the request meets the funding criteria), people who require respiratory supports, people who need access to dialysis treatments and people who require travel assistance.
