Continence Assistance
PADP provides assistance for consumers requiring aids for continence problems. The Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing also provides assistance for people requiring aids for continence problems through the Continence Aids Assistance Scheme (CAAS). In 2008/2009 this scheme provides eligible people with up to $479.40 assistance towards the purchase of continence products. The CAAS eligibility criteria were broadened in 2007, and as a result many consumers of PADP became newly eligible for CAAS.
PADP policy requires eligible consumers to use CAAS assistance each year before accessing assistance through PADP.
For more information about CAAS call the CAAS Helpline on 1300-366-455 or visit the CAAS Website.
