EnableNSW Sustainable Equipment Model

The EnableNSW Equipment Centre (EEC) is a purpose built facility that allows for cleaning, repairing and storage of returned self-care and mobility equipment. Our sustainable equipment model (pictured below) means we can give suitable equipment a second life and keep it out of landfill.

Every year, close to 9,000 self-care and mobility items are delivered from the EEC to people to help them manage their health needs at home

80% of requests for self-care or mobility items can be met through the equipment range available at the EEC

Significant cost savings from bulk purchases and refurbished items means more complex and customised items can be met through the aids and equipment program

About EnableNSW

EnableNSW provides assistive technology and related services to people in NSW with specific, short term or ongoing health needs to assist them to live safely at home. Financial assistance is also available for people who need to travel significant distances to access specialist medical treatment which is not available locally.

The EnableNSW team is based in St Leonards and Homebush, New South Wales. Service Centre officers receive thorough, ongoing training to ensure they provide the highest standard of service.
