Seated mobility equipment for community access

Mobility equipment for people who require a manual/power wheelchair or scooter for outdoor or community access, will be provided through the EnableNSW Equipment Allocation Program (EAP).

In these situations, clinicians should not request a trial with a supplier. Once approved, EnableNSW will arrange for the item to be delivered to the person. For power wheelchairs and scooters, the clinician must be present at delivery to assess if the item meets the person’s mobility needs and that they can use it safely in their environment.

Please note, the range of wheelchairs and scooters available may vary at any time. If equipment is unavailable at the time of the request, a waitlist will be created, and items will be allocated based on the date the request was received.
